What veteran R&B belter is rumored to be a lot sicker than his family really knows? Sources say that the singer has only days to live and that news of how serious his sickness is may have been kept from his family because his manager wants to inherit all of his belongings. "The manager already has her name on the Rolls Royce," our source told us. Said singer's daughter has apparently just filed a lawsuit to gain power of attorney so that the manager doesn't take all her dad's assets when he passes.

I'm clueless as to who this refers to, but Isley can't be in great shape. His stroke and his probable prison term wouldn't put him in the best of health. Was he even sentenced yet?

I don't think he was sentenced yet.I hope everything can be worked out.It would be tragic if he got a long prison sentence! Especially with his health problems and all.

Isaac Hayes was hospitalized for "exaustion" in mid January. Two days before he went into the hospital, I bought tickets to see him play at the House of Blues in Vegas this Friday night. The show was cancelled last week. I suppose it could be him, but when he went into the hospital, David Porter told the press Isaac would be fine.

Who's the man who's all tuckered out? Isaac Hayes.

The silky smooth soul legend checked himself into an undisclosed Memphis hospital on Tuesday to be treated for exhaustion, according to published reports.

No immediate word on the 63-year-old Hayes' condition. His agent could not be reached for comment Wednesday.

However, Hayes' longtime songwriting partner, David Porter, told Memphis' Commercial Appeal newspaper: "He's just overworked and had been in Atlantic City performing, the D.C. area performing and in Tunica [Mississippi] a couple of nights ago. He was just overworked."

But, Porter added, "He's doing much better."

Hayes's most recent performance came Sunday night at the Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, where he appeared with frequent collaborator Roberta Flack.
