all in love is fair--stevie wonder from innervisions...one of the best damn break up songs EVUH!
All is fair in love Love's a crazy game Two people vow to stay In love as one they say But all is changed with time The future no one can see The road you leave behind Ahead lies mystery But all is fair in love I had to go away A writer takes his pen To write the words again That all in love is fair All of fate's a chance It's either good or bad I tossed my coin to say In love with me you'd stay But all in war is so cold You either win or lose When all is put away The loosing side I'll play But all is fair in love I should never have left your side A writer takes his pen To write the words again That all in love is fair A writer takes his pen To write the words again That all in love is fair you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

Outstanding song...the piano and his vocals are amazing. So heartfelt and organic and the understated drum work is on point too. I agree one of the best break up songs of all time!

I adore this song
there's an outstanding rendition from Nancy Wilson, which I used to play on endless loop years ago. gotta dig it out again great song! Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

did you guys ever hear Marc Anthony's version of this song? It's pretty good. Was released a few years ago on that Stevie Wonder tribute album.

Poignant as a mutha. When did Stevie break up with Syreeta? He wrote a real cool break-up song for her "Cause We've Ended Now As Lovers".

that somg always makes me cry
even reading the words to myself, and thinking of the tune, makes me misty "Pedro offers you his protection."

sidebar: I always think of this song back-2-back with Everything Must Change (George Benson's version).

I've always loved the deep emotion in this song. Very powerful stuff.

wasn't this featured in spike lee's jungle fever (but not included on the soundtrack)..i could be thinking about "make sure you're sure"...and i haven't seen the movie in like 10 years...but it was either at the end of the movie, or when lonnette mckee confronted wesley snipes about his affair you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

It's pretty stark. The piano is played quite hard. Real feeling in there.

One of my fave's from Wonder, off of one of Wonder's best albums. The song, to me, has a Beatle sensibility to it. I guess I should say I can hear the Beatles influence in it. Anybody who's a fan of the Beatles ballads may hear what I'm talking about. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him." http://ccoshea19.googlepa...ssanctuary http://ccoshea19.googlepages.com

I tend to think of 'Blame It On The Sun' too when I hear this track. Some similar emotions involved, but 'All In Love Is Fair' is the stronger track, I think.

Innervisions, to me, is like listening to the voice of God coming through Stevie from beginning to end.

To me, it's his greatest album, even better than Songs.
