MJ gets even weirder?

MANAMA, Bahrain (AP) -- Pop star Michael Jackson was spotted shopping in a Bahrain mall on Wednesday, hiding his face behind a veil and donning a black robe traditionally worn by women in the Gulf.

Okay, this thread is called "MJ gets even weirder?", but this is not a publicity stunt. This man is not trying to live his life on his own terms, without the press hounding him. Yet, he's getting weird?

No disrespect, but I'll take your insanity into question. What do you give a fuck? Why does the press give a fuck what this "weird guy" does?

Until MJ put out another song, or dance on top of a car, or dangle his child, leave this man alone, let him live in Bahrain.

Of all the outfits & disguises MJ has worn out in public this one seems the most sensible. It covers him up but doesn't require any makeup or an elaborate costume that often draws attention. This is an outfit that is part of the daily life in that part of the world so he should blend in fairly easily.
So no I don't think MJ is getting weirder.

He's been using that costume since he was with Lisa Marie. It's just a disguise.

Michael getting weirder? Not necessarily. The only reason why Mike seems weird is because his fans won't accept the following premise: Michael is gay. This is a no brainer. But you'd be surprised how many people refuse to admit it. They'll call him asexual, non-sexual, unsexual -- anything but gay sexual. He's a homosexual who grew up in a very strict religious household. So it was seared into his subconsciousness that homosexuality was anathema -- perhaps even the unpardonable sin. Consequently, he perpetuates this facade that he's straight. Mike only appears weird if you buy into his "straighteness." But if you view him as a gay man with identity issues, his "craziness" makes sense.Let me stress that his homosexuality isn't the problem, it's the denial. His refusal to accept himself for who and what he is that's causing him all this adversity. Michael is better off in Bahrain. Let him live as a woman...maybe that's the only way he'll feel at peace with himself.

yeah, that makes a lot of sense. he's like one of those guys that goes into the priesthood to escape his homosexuality, and then takes it out on kids because they're easily manipulated.

BTW, if Mike is gay, than Prince must be too because of some of the clothes he wore in the past. BTW guys, do you think David Bowie is gay? His clothes hasn´t always looked 100% male.

Amen.

I totally agree, and his fans should learn there's nothing wrong with being gay. It doesn't take away from his talent so what's the problem?

I don't give a flying shit what ANYONE says, those kids are going to grow up with some serious self-esteem issues - there's really no need for the constant use of those veils, it's totally innapropriate for a child to be expected to wear that out whenever in public. Anyone who uses the 'oh but it's to protect them from the glare of the paparazi lens, Michael's constantly hounded' is talking out of their ass because trust me, some day, come hell or high water those photos are going to be shot - veil or no veil. So why risk fucking up their futures? Sorry, I don't buy into it at all and I just don't get it.

His innocent outlook on life is decidedly warped now - and this is coming from someone who was a die-hard fan since Off The Wall through Dangerous. I've no doubt he has deep love for his children, but I do not think he is being fair to them and their future in any way whatsoever.

They only wear them when out with their dad, which makes absolute sense. It gives them the freedom to go out without the veils and without the fear of hassle from people who would otherwise recognise them. Considering the amount of kidnap and death threats they recieve, it's the right thing to do.

I agree! It's ridiculous for Michael to have that mindset ("I'm protecting my children from the evil world"),shielding his kids from the paparazzi, making them wear silly masks and disguises. It's just absurd.
