SINGING A DIFFERENT ITUNES is the record industry reassessing its relationship with iTunes regarding pre-album-release sale of singles? Amid widespread fears that sales of individual tracks are cannibalizing album sales, at least two labels are taking action. Def Jam/IDJ will not make the current Ne-Yo smash, “So Sick,” available on iTunes until after the album is released on Feb. 28. For example industry observers are wondering how much bigger the first week on Jive/ZLG artist Chris Brown’s debut album might have been without the enormous amount of downloads sold on the radio smash, “Run It.” [Edited 2/13/06 17:15pm] Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3

These folks are morons. If I only like one song now, then I can wait to just buy the one song I want, no matter how long it takes them to release a single. Fuck the record industry.
