Goldfrapp - Supernature

I bought this album the other day because it was reduced price, £6.99 i think. I am so blown away by it, i heartily recommend it to anyone. Does anyone agree?? What is the older Goldfrapp stuff like??

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this album. I liked Goldfrapp before, but after buying 'Supernature' last year, they have been elevated to one of my top 10 favorite bands ever. The first album, 'Felt Mountain' has a more dreamy Portishead-sound--like the slower tracks on 'Supernature' while the second album, 'Black Cherry' is slinky electro.

Yes, if you like the slower songs then get 'Felt Mountain'. 'Black Cherry' is closer in sound to 'Supernature', but just not turned up to 11 like that one is.

Felt Mountian is an instant classic and easily one of the best albums from that year. You know it from the moment you put it on. It's my favorite of the 3.

Songs like Utopia, Pilots, and Human are worth having. You should try and seek the LTD ed as it has a bonus disc. You won't be sorry you paid the extra cash.

But you don't have the third album yet. How can it be your favorite of the three?

Oh don't get me wrong Supernature is good and luckily I have friends in high places so I have heard most of the songs. Satin Chic, Lovely 2 C U, Number 1, Ooh la la are all good.

I don't know how accurate this info is on amazon, but if it is, the U.S. version will be well worth the wait: http://www.amazon.com/exe...ce&s=music

How about a quick review? Give me something a little less abstract than "great"

Both of those CDs are very cool. I own neither but have heard both. Great mix of electronic and retro elements.

Which both do you mean? We're talking about three CDs here.

Their third album, 'Supernature' was relased in August of last year in the U.K. so a lot of people have heard it already. The U.S. release isn't until next month.

You can check out reviews on Amazon. But I have to agree...they are really good. Unique in sound. Pick one of them up and you won't be disappointed. If you want the more UP one then get Black Cherry if you want more lush and slow go for Felt Mountain.
