Larry Graham's No-Show At The Grammys ... According to Billboard.com, Larry Graham had orignally been scheduled to perform, however he had fallen ill the day of the grammys.
Billboard states: Joining guitarist Stone and Errico backstage, sans Sly, were original Family Stone members Cynthia Robinson (trumpet), Jerry Martini (sax) and Sly's sister Rose Banks (piano, vocals). Bassist Larry Graham was not on hand, having fallen ill the day of the show. With thanks to housequake.

Yeah, I noticed his no-show at the Grammys during the Sly Tribute!!
It would have been awesome seeing him there performing Everyday People with Sly and the other Performers!!! The thing is when I saw everyone on stage performing Everyday People, I thought 2 myself " I am sick of this song!!!!LOL", having heard it a million times before when Prince has performed it with Larry!!

*** Yes, but how ill was Larry? He may have been on the toilet with food poisoning for all we know.

Ill or not, he made the right call.
BTW, I wonder if any of the Grammy performers feel kinda bad cause they got their asses kicked by the equally awful American Idol in the TV ratings? I mean, they hype the Grammy's as being the music industry's biggest night, and yet Kanye with his super inflated ego or Madonna and her tired Jane Fonda 80's workout video routine can't outdraw wannabes. They need to bring back Prince next year. While he may not pull in Idol ratings, at least it would be a lot closer.

--Didn't this same topic get "Locked" over at the NPG--for the negative response and direction it was heading?--Didn't the 'PP' state that it was a "rumor" about the reason why he was a "No-Show"?
Are you looking for that same negative, twisted and hateful 'response here against your 'brother'? Just curious and CONfused. [Edited 2/12/06 4:29am] Desiigner "Panda" LES TWINS x YAK FILMS | Laurent ft Skitzo & Boom Squad Inglewood (part 1)

This year's viewing was at 17.6 million. I sincerely doubt Prince had anything to do with 1.2 million difference. For the record, 26.3 million people watched the grammys the year before prince performed. What does this tell us? For starters it tells us if there are better things on tv than stupid award shows, people will watch those programs instead.

For starters hon, you need to get your own facts straight before you go off attempting to school people. Prince didn't perform at last years "18.8 million" grammy's. Prince performed at the "26.3 million" grammy's.
