The Pussycat dolls are going to break up soon yes it's true, the beloved cheerleading squad will break up soon. there is no way that this group could survive; there are just too many of them and that pretty black hair one does all the singing and hogs all the spotlight. kinda like Beyonce... they remind me more of a (very) tame Vanity 6. in fact, when i first saw their video, i COULD NOT believe that this wasn't a Prince protege project. it reeks of one, that's for sure. [Edited 2/11/06 15:41pm]

I thought they reminded me more of Menudo or Blue Man Group. If I'm correct, didn't the Pussycat Dolls begin as a neo-burlesque show, and the singing group began as an afterthought? I really don't believe they were set up to be like the Supremes or En Vogue. I'm not even sure if the current members of PCD even own a portion of their name. If anything, the Pusscycat Dolls are more of a concept than a band.

Yeah, it won't be long before Nicole puts out that solo cd.

I kinda liked their fun dance style music.
Don't know why they'd break up though? All of the girls (other than the main one), are replaceable They are sort of a concept group I think. Based on Carmen Electra's burlesque troop If you will, so will I

Man...I wish they would let Melody sing...it's really unfair to have Nicole up in front all of the time when Melody is just as good/better than her.

I never believed this was a real group to start with, so the fact that they're breaking up is just...

Just to give everyone some inside stuff, I have known Nicole since 1998, and since her days in Edens Crush, Days of the New and various Solo stuff, I have kept in touch with her. First of all the Pussycat dolls were not Carmens creation, the group was formed by ROBIN who is actually not pictured in the group currently, they formed in the early 1990's, Carmen did come on board later on, but they were mainly a Lounge act. When the idea came to get more into singing they got Melody in the group but then they decided to added another girl that could sing a variety of styles, thats when Nicole came on board in 2002-03. As far as them "breaking" up, thats not going to happen in the near future, the Dolls have always been rotating anyway but since now that they have caught on, (1.5 million sold in the USA and 2+ million worldwide) the girls have a following so dont expect a change "soon", sure anything can happen, and Nicole has already done Solo stuff on a few other Artists albums, but the Dolls are already planning another CD for Late 2006 and a TV special.
