which Actor's R&B albums are any good? (80's &90's)

Wow,I remember when if you were famous for acting or havng a TV show you had to have a vanity R&B career and album. (Debbie Allen, Jasmine Guy, Tisha Campbell, Cree Summer, Jada Pinkett-Smith, those two Miami Vice guys, Jamie Foxx, Etc)

Has anyone ever been able to cross over completely?

Has any of these "Artists" had any good albums?

How do we stop this trend?

(Debbie Allen only sang half of album and the rest of the songs sound like session singers finished the tracks)

Cree's Mean Sleep was pretty dope. Sadly, it's the only track I can find.

Cree's whole album was pretty good. I think everyone else just had singles.
Tisha with Push and Jasmine's ballad, Just Wanna Hold You I preferred over Try Me.

Push? The one she sang on Martin that time? "Push, you got to push"? Is that the one? I remember her havin a song on the Sprung soundtrack, a cover of Don't Ask My Neighbor. For some reason, I feel like Tichina Arnold sang on it too, but that's prolly just Little Shop of Horrors playin in my mind. Or "Don'tchu Know No Good..."

No, I was right. I found it. Tichina Arnold did sing on it too. That's weird, cause she wasn't in the movie.

I remember Tisha Campbeel's song on the soundtrack for the movie "School Daze". "I Don't Wanna Be Alone Tonight" That was the jam. Don Johnson from Miami Vice needs his @$$ whupped for putting out "Heartbeat".

Cree does a lot of singin on the soundtrack to rugrats all grown up. I love her speaking voice more than anybody's ever. When it gets husky, I could die. Die.

I love that song! I found that soundtrack at BestBuy a few months ago and bought it just for that song!
