I'm not too excited about part 1 but part 2 is gonna be INCREDIBLE!!!!!

But if they REALLY wanted to do Part 1 right they should have Prince do that part. I'm kinda surprised he's not involved in the tribute since he has a new album to promote and he's a huge Sly fan from what I've read.

mmmm, no they don't. the demographic that they care about doesn't know who sly stone is. the list of tributers, on the other hand, are right up TV's demographic alley.

I agree. Sly & The Family Stone reunites after 30 some years and they only do one song! Hopefully, it's some type of song medley. I guess we should be happy that we get anything at all.

Well, he wasn't at the rehearsal today... some say it's because he didn't think Sly would show. Others think it was our little purple friend who persuaded him not to.

Either way they could pull Rusty Allen on stage and I'd be just as happy. Sly did show up for rehearsal so that's a good sign.
