That's what gets on my nerves with her. She had two great albums that did moderately well on R&B radio before she had "Control" but she acts like "Control" is her first album because it's the first one to be accepted in the pop world. This is the second time she's given the finger to R&B. The first time was ten years ago with "Design Of A Decade: 1986-1996".

It's stuff like this that makes me miss Renee Elizando ghostwriting for Janet.

Actually I don't know what to expect from Janet and a title doesn't equate content. The last few times I've been disappointed. Nothing has quite lived up to the expectation or fit into descriptions given to her albums so rather than get excited I'm just gonna wait and see what she churns out.

I'm not buying the weight gain for a movie role either. Too risky for someone who has weight issues and too easy to get a good actress who already has the body type they're looking for.

And before the project was even properly green-lighted? See now, I can understand Reneé Zellweger putting on weight for Bridget Jones (although here are plenty of just as good actresses already that size), but she's a slight frame and can easily take it off.

will be titled "20 Years Old."

jonathan demme made oprah gain weight for Beloved...after the film tanked Oprah went into a depression and gained additional weight. all of this has been confirmed by Harpo.

john singleton is the one that stated janet had to gain weight for poetic justice...i thought it was common knowledge.

Why was Oprah dumb? She was already very heavy at the time. She didn't need to gain much more weight. She had JUST started at fat camp--hadn't hooked up with Bob Greene yet. It was a role she wanted and connected with, and when they saw her they felt that she was Celie. That's rare for someone who's never acted before. It was a professional and personal milestone for her.

I thought I saw JD in the audience during the Grammy's. Did anyone else notice if he was there?

Although the article does not mention the film by name, it is assumed
that the film being referred to is "Tennessee." It had been
previously announced late last year that Janet would be starring in
this film with Macaulay Culkin and Martin Henderson.

The album is due out this summer.
