I don't understand why he's got somebody speaking Swahili at the beginning of a song called Liberian Girl, but it's a cute song. lol Though it's a pretty song, I don't think it's one of his best.

Why didn't he stop with the surgery there?? He looks great, even with the WWF titlebelt razz . It was always a standout track on Bad and yeah the video did suck. I always thought he should've called it American girl or Librarian Girl (don't laugh!!) because somehow I don't think there's a huge market for Liberian love songs out there biggrin

I musta missed that pay-per-view. Did MJ avoid the run-in by Arn and Tully that night?

Never liked it much. Its great sounding though, and was used nicely on the tupac track "letter to my unborn"

Still, its a bit silly really. Thank god things pick on on the next track "just good friends"

Poor Hulk Hogan- he shocked the world and bodyslammed Andre the Giant in 1987, but he couldn't take Michael Jackson.

It's alright. The pose, the belt, the taped up hand, the rosy cheeks... t's like he wants to be tough then you see that pretty face and it's all too confusing. Liberian Girl should have been on the cover especially since the video was a bust.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

This is Letta Mbula, the woman who performs the Swahili chant in the song. She's a South African performer who fled her country during the Apartheid years. I knew that she had a good career all her own, but I wasn't aware until I was looking for a picture of her that she performed most of the music from the miniseries Roots.

A song from MJ that I'd consider genius would be "Who Is It". That one's just great from start to finish.
