I gott mention Instant Funk's I Got My Mind Made Up. It's the inspiration for this thread.

no,but he played bass and lead guitar on "all along the watchtower". at the time him and noel redding had some kind of disagreement when they were doin a session, so noel got mad and left....

Yeah, I wasn't sure about that myself...they claimed that Jimi often did basslines himself in the studio, but I was never sure which tracks...

Aud could probably tell you better than I, but I'm pretty sure most, if not all of the times Jimi did play the bass parts himself were on Electric Ladyland when he was having his disputes with Noel.
