I'm checking out Brits in person tonight!



BritPop band Saint Etienne are playing at the Metro in Chicago and I'm gonna see them!

I love me some Sarah Cracknell. love

Anyone else gonna see StEt soon? biggrin

I have a peripheral liking for Saint Etienne. I got kinda burned out on them in college, because my roommate only listened to two things - Saint Etienne and Morrissey! lol Just from living with the dude for a year, I know these two albums by heart:

I think I had nightmares about Only Love Can Break Your Heart for a good half-decade.

those are my two least favorite saint etienne albums, which isn't to say i dislike them. they've just done such better music since then.

probably tiger bay, though i really love good humor...it sounds like fleetwood mac meets burt bacharach. fleetwood bacharach.
