Slave2daGroove

I've been following them since Kyuss and the first album.
I've seen QOTSA 4 times and the last time it just wasn't the same.
They have a lot of subtle little stops and noises that really make the band incredible when performing live. That was all but gone and they were just sloppy. Maybe it's commercial success or just laziness but it sucked.

I picked up the live dvd/cd they just put out just hoping that it was just a bad night but no, that's how they play now. Still great music and more creative than most new music but whatever, I'm babbling now.

I've not watched all the new DVD yet.... they seem to be playing too quickly. I like the new line up 'Lullabies....' is a stupendous album.

I agree with the cool enclave thang too. It's like a grungier version of the Brat Pack!

I must also admit that I find it an attractive facet of their personal make-up that they both dig Prince.

lol And he also said, "They have a song called Tangled in Plaid that sounds like a new Hall and Oates track." That implies a whole song, not just vocals. Anyhow, I don't think they sound too much alike in the vocal department either.

I said Darryl Hall inflection. Inflection implies voice. Drums and guitars don't have inflections. They have accents and tones. Anyway, when did this become an eighth grade debate team convention. I'm offering an opinion that this song is dope and here's why I think it's dope. It makes me think of Hall and Oates. Let it go.

What the fuck is your problem? lol I just said that I didn't think they sounded like Hall and Oates and that you weren't very clear with what you were trying to say, and RipHer2Shreds agreed with me. You need to "let it go". Damn. rolleyes

Theyre brilliant. Dave Grohl is a force to be reckoned with, and Josh Homme is doing a samn good job catching up on him. Songs for the Deaf is a fantastic album, I love their sound. Best band of their genre for a long time IMO nod
