George Michael's "Kissing A Fool" out of tune?

I was trying 2 play this song on my keyboard (which I'm 100% sure is properly tuned) and it sounds like the released version of this song is a little out of tune. The opening chord is somewhere between D and E flat. I know I'm not going crazy here...?
Don't hate me 'cause I'm NOT beautiful

Not sure. It's a good song though. I t may have been sung out of key...I guess and they left it in just because.

You do know that there are more scales of music other than American/European? Many countries use scales that go inbetween the notes we have.

Sometimes the recording process puts the song "in bewteen" keys. I was trying to play We Are Family for the longest and couldn't get the chords, until the guitar player in my band told me it's in between.

My dad told me this happens on classical recordings too. I guess the tape gets sped up or down somehow and the pitch gets altered.
