Wait.....isn't it 25 years that you have to wait to be eligible? Bjork's solo career isn't eligible yet.

Bjork got her first contract and recorded in 1977 at the age of eleven.

doh! that's right.....I wasn't counting that though lol

I'll make the case for Van Halen.

11 studio albums between '78 and '98, all of which were Top 20 Billboard.

Van Halen is one of five rock groups in the world that have had 2 albums sell more than 10 million copies in the U.S. (the others being: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Eagles and Def Leppard).

Eddie Van Halen arguably has had as much influence on rock guitar as ANY person in the RRHOF.

October 22, 1982: Van Halen Day is declared by Mayor Sara Robertson in Worchester, MA, after WAAF Radio sponsors a 25,000-signature petition to get the band to add a third show at The Centrum. headbang lol

October 22, 1984: Van Halen is certified platinum fives times over. Van Halen II is certified triple platinum. Women And Children First is certified double platinum.

two days later...1984 is certified platinum four times over.

Speaking of Van Halen, have you seen Dave lately?

I hear they hate him at Infinity.

I'm sorry, these two artist are actually from the 70's but they deserve to be in RARHOF. IMO.

Well you gotta be "offically" in the business meaning the date of your first album/cd for 25 years to qualify so that takes out a lot of people's choices.

All due respect, marto, Nirvana should get before Pearl Jam.

The Pixies should be in both both!

I'm still pissed that Donna Summer never made it in. Rock and Roll is pretty board and they have included artists like Diana Ross and The Sumpremes and Aretha....Where's Donna?

Don't disagree on the Pixies, as even someone like me who doesn't know their music can recognize how very influential they were. Kids in my high school idolized them.

Donna doesn't get in because my gut tells me that the Hall doesn't respect disco music.
