Listen to Milli Vanilli's 2nd album here!

Milli Vanilli: Try 'N' B

Frank Farian had written an album's worth of songs from the European release of the second Milli Vanilli album, "Moment Of Truth". In order to get them released in the U.S., he chose to release them under the name "Try 'N' B", rather than "The Real Milli Vanilli" as he did overseas.

Most of the tracks were rerecorded, with the addition of "Ding Dong", "Who Do You Love", and a remake of Dr. Hook's "Sexy Eyes" (!).

The Try 'N' B album came out in the US on RCA Records

hey maz, i got that "moment of truth " album. (not the try and b one).

I think the one i got is pretty rare. Its odd, as they remade every track. "keep on running" is slightly different to the european "the real minni vanilli" version i got. Talk about wierd,

"keep on running" is a dope track. As is "crazy kane", a silly anti durg song, lifting a huge sample of "hi de hi" by cab calloway. Good song though

"tell me where it hurts" is a nice diane warren mid tempo ballad.

Yeah, he was. I don't know why everyone else thought the other one was better looking.

he's actually pretty hot! not sure why people liked the other one more and i'm sorry to say, before he died he looked terrible on the Behind the Music story. I think their story is so tragic but props to Fab for hanging in there.

I have both "Moment Of Truth" and "Try-N-Be" (typo) and they are both good albums, production wise. biggrin

However, I perfer the "Moment Of Truth" album better, because the orignal vocalists (you know the 2 Rob and Fab lip synched to on GYKIT) were more present on "Moment Of Truth."

The songs, "Keep On Running," "Big Brother," "In My Life" and "When I Die" are all favorites of mine. Great album ~ glad the album is getting its much deserved props! cool

when i die is god awful lol its "girl iam gonna miss u" but billion times worse. How insincire is that song. "when i die" indeed.

Is "crazy kane" on the try n b album? U gotta love that song. Say u do mad

Other then keep on running, tell me where it hurts, and crazy kane, album is absolute rubbish.

U ever get rob and fab?

"we can get it on" is a nice swing cut actually. "do i" is great fun too, with what sounds like a huge bobby brown sample, but i cant actually find out if it is a sample or not, but it sure as hell sounds like bobby brown is on that track eek

Also off that album, their cover of "i want you to want me" is decent enough actually. (not as good as tommy puett's cover of "get down tonight" though)

"land of the free" touches me. I use to live in america, so i get nostalgic. If u have that album, please say.

Oh, i was hearing michael damian "dreams of summer" the other day. Pretty moody album actually.

does anyone have the original Milli Vanilli album on CD? I had a copy of it and stupidly sold it. I would love to hear it again. Great fun pop and R&B album, regardless of who sung it.

First of all..an orger that heard "Dreams Of Summer." Even if you hate it, at least you heard it. Michael Damian is one of my favorites and actually that album rocks in my book. "Love Is The Thunder" is such a great jam! cool

Now back to Rob & Fab.."We Can Get It On" and "Do I" are great tunes - IMO. I also like "Kiss 4 Now" As for "Land Of The Free" it is alright. Beyond that, I dig most of the samples in the album of the old sounding radio bites or whatever they are.

As for The Real Milli Vanilli album..Yeah "When I Die" is clearly a want to be "Girl I'm Gonna Miss You" but I thought it had an interesting concept. As for, "Crazy Kane" I think that rapper "Icey Bro" ruined a bunch of the tracks. I wanted to hear the rapper that did, "Girl You Know It's True" *Fabrice's Lip Synched Part* come back to do the rapping on that track. "Icey Bro" sounded like a deeper Will Smith.

However.."Keep On Runnin'" makes that album worth the price IMO. I'd love to hear the remixes and I heard that Rob And Fabrice actually lip synched it once live, around the time, the second album was about to come out, but then it got canned when the truth was exposed by Farian. Is this possible? Does anyone know? Or are my facts off? confused

I have:

Girl You Know Its True (The BIG Album)
All Or Nothing (The First Album)
Moment Of Truth (The Second Album)
The Remix Album
The US Remix Album

I also have:

Rob & Fab
Try-N-B
Fabrice Morvan's solo album, "Love Revolution."

I was a HUGE Milli Vanilli fan, I'm a straight male and went through that phase as a kid. (It was at its peek when I had the running man logo design as a birthday cake! Yeah I was a dork..lol) I have a bunch of their singles as LP's and 45's also, but I don't have a working player that I use, so they just kind of sit in my house and collect dust. Cool to say I have though.

Anyways if you want any of the above copied or something..send me an org note with your Yahoo or AOL contact info and we can go from there.
