Tommy Puett-Life goes on

Tommy Puett's "life goes on" album sorta reminds me of dino's "romeo". Its good high energy, synth heavy pop.

"heart attack" seems to be tongue in cheek too, unfortunately, the video misses the intro.

Damn, this song is hot.

Good lord! Unfortunately I vaguely remember this song. A friend of mine in high school liked Tommy Puett and used to sing this song all the time. You are crazy if you like this.

ha, my dad said it sounded like pink floyd with the whole sped up vocal bits (more like prince)

Interesting note, jamey jaz produced and wrote the album. He worked with tevin campbell and rasheen patterson later on (this is 1990)

Its freakin' awesome. Layer upon layer upon layer of reverb, drim programming, synths and overdubded whatevers, makes for a killer time warp of a cut.

the austrailian voice is funny too. "died of a bleeding heart attack". I like the humour. Nice sax solo too.

Good album.

Its so much in a time warp it can actually be re-released to kids and they'd think its new.

Again, i can see why iam crazy, its the complete opposite of what pharrel and other people are doing now. Instead of adding every snyth and current high tech noise, reverb or whatever to the mix, its now that pharrels sound has absolutely no bottom. No layer of anything. Its jusy one repeated little line, over and over again, whilst with a song like "heart attack", its a crash of so much shit thrown in, u can never get bored of it in my book. But people hated that "lets throw in everything to hide the shitty melody" thing.

Irony is, to me, this shit is far more charismatic then any pop out there. Again fuck image, and that camp as hell video does not help either. Fuck the lyrics too. They work well enough. Good middle 8.

Funny how now, pop music is the complete opposite of this,
