I love this song, and i`m sure many of you feel the same way. Both Dionne Warwick and B.J Thomas did an amazing job with the song, but personally, i have to say i prefer Warwick`s version... Which one do you like best? | |

It's hard to go against a major triad like Bacharach/David/Warwick.
However, picking a minor triad, Bacharach/David/Thomas, ain't bad at all. I also like the B.J. Thomas version. Rip will have something to say about this.

The song is so good that it helped make a classic scene in Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, even though the lyrics are totally inappropriate. Check this song out at:

One of my all-time favorite songs  my favorite part in "Spider Man 2" is when this song is being played.
Notably,this was the Number One song in America at the beginning of 1970.So,I always think of it as the song that introduced us to the wonderful 70s decade,lol. | |

BJ Thomas` version? I haven`t heard Burt Bacharach`s original... While doing some "research" i found out that Olivia Newton John, Ella Fitzgerald, The four tops, Dean Martin and Dee Dee Bridgewater (and many more) covered this song too... Cheek said: I don't know this song but I like the cover!
