Lammastide chimes in on Madonna's "Future Lover"

BEST song on Confessions on a Dance Floor!!! (Followed by "Jump"... with honorable mention going to "I Love New York" and "Push" [not so much for their merit as their quirkiness])

Overall, the CD sounds like Night at the Gay Bar 101 (which ain't necessarily good or bad), but THIS song could make a pretty butch dude get up and queen out!

I can't wait 'til I'm home alone so I can go nuts and blast this s#@*!! headbang dancing jig

...OK, OK, I know I'm late. But I wanted to just put that out there. confused

"Future Lovers" didn't make the top half of the album when we voted.

Plus we've already discussed the album ad nauseum.

"Future Lovers" rocks! It's a fitting tribute to the electronic sounds of Giorgio Moroder and Donna Summer in the 70s.I predict that this song will play a major role in Madonna's upcoming tour.It could be used as a video/transitional piece.

Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. But "Jump" I'll give ya. Classic Madonna.

musically,"Jump" is slightly reminiscent of "Into The Groove".When you get to the chorus of "Jump",try singing the chorus to "Into The Groove".

That's what I love about this album. She references her past while still pushing the music forward.

It's the best track on the album as far as I'm concerned..
The one track that succeeds in delivering what COAD
was supposed 2 b, a griddy sweaty disco mini opera..

Fuck all that shit about fame...I love the vocal harmonies
sliding in & out with that Donna Summer sample..& then
when it comes 2gether in the end..pure bliss... .

Great structure.

RUMOR OF THE WEEK: MADONNA PLANNING TO RELEASE TWO NEW ALBUMS THIS YEAR!

After recording 42 songs with producer Stuart Price, most of which didn't make it onto "Confessions On A Dancefloor",Neil Sean of Sky News reports that Madonna is planning the release of two more dance albums in what are being called "small club albums".The insider said "She works very hard on her music and the only reason songs were left off the album was simply space.Hopefully now fans can fully enjoy the real dance queen in action with more exclusive dance tracks".

pray pray pray pray

From day one,I had been saying that I would like Maddy and Stuart to work together again....'COADF' needs to be a trilogy...they can advance this concept even further, dig even deeper into a 70s disco vibe.
