The two songs are somewhat similar: The theme of undying love, the pianos, the claptracks, the grand vocal sendoffs at the end...

In any case, which one do you prefer? My pick is "Be Without You"-- "WBT" is classic Mariah and all (even after massive overplay), but "BWY" is even better.. some actually on-point and incredibly soulful singing by Mary, earthy lyrics, amazing hooks, and a phenomenal closing sendoff that rivals Mariah's, IMO.

I guess I haven't been spinning that new Mary album enough because I didn't know what "Be Without You" song you were talking about.

Both are catchy as HELL I was loving We Belong Together @ first, but grew tired of it QUICKLY... Be Without You is more lasting with me so far. Plus Mary doesn't annoy the shit outta me like Mariah does so that helps

It's a fantastic Mariah song and a pretty good one for MJB. I'd still probably give the edge to Mary.
