BRICk on old SNL tonight!

Never saw these guys live before. They were pretty funky and played the hell out of that flute. It reminds me of the days when you had to have talent to be on TV. Now all you need are tits and ass.

Do a search for "Dazz" by Brick. It's one of the funkiest songs of all time IMHO!

Brick stormed onto the scene in 1976 with the jam "Dazz".They followed it up with more great songs like "Dusic"(1977) and "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody"(1977).

DMSR,you really know your music;)

Thanks it seems we have similar old school tastes! Do you remember the Kid N Play remake of Aint Gonna Hurt Nobody? That should have been a bigger hit I thought for them.

Back to SNL- It's so sad that SNL used to break artists like MTV and now they just have the huge artists that we will all be sick of after 1,000 listens to their single on MTV and every radio station. I give Kelly Osbourne and the Osbournes another 10 minutes. Talk about ruining a good idea. It's so much overkill these days!

they always had Jams.like back in 1981 the Ray Parker Jr Produced "Sweat till you get Wet".Slapping Funky Jam&Groove.they could Play but had no Steps or Persona.I think it Hurt them.but as far Funky Flute Grooves&tight in the Pocket Grooves they had Grooves.
