Old Shalamar vs New(er) Shalamar

I kow this is a sin but I have to go with the newer version. I love the Circumstancial Evidence CD more than any of the Original Shalamar songs i've ever heard. The newer band was funkier and had more of a new wave sound as well. "Female" by Bernadette cooper is bad as hell too! What do you guys think??

I prefer the Howard Hewitt, Jody Watley, and Jeffrey Daniels trio.

I got a Shalamar CD with both albums "the Look" and "Heartbreak" on it. if u listen to "the look" u realize that even their new wave-phase is better with the original members!

that's cool. what is it about the original line up that you like more? i guess they were a little to disco sounding for me which is why i like the reincarnation of the group but perhaps they should have had a different name.

Howard, Jody and Jeffrey are the best Shalamar. Also, Shalamar had a different lead singer in the beginning, I can't seem to recall his name at the moment though.

As for the 'Moonwalk' MJ was taught it by a dancer called 'Casper'.

I've heard it and it's OK. I prefer the other lineup though because they were a lot more funky and a lot less pop. Also, they had that great Solar Records sound rather than being an immitation of the Minneapolis Sound, which I love but everyone needs their own sound.
