Jam Of The Day: "In The Raw" by The Whispers

This is one of my favorites by The Whispers. Another great one from that same album is "Emergency". Give it up y'all.

The Whispers were on fire in the early 80s,coming out with one amazing jam after another.Previous hits "And The Beat Goes On" and "This Kinda Lovin" were hard to top,but in 1982 the guys came out with the funky "In The Raw"....man,this song is the shit! The bassline on this song is just outrageous.

My mother had the album 'Love Is Where You Find It',but oddly enough,she bought it strictly for Side Two which featured the slow jams ("Say Yes",title track,etc).I was the one who flipped the record over and grooved to "In The Raw" and "You Turn Me Out",lol.
