Grew up on Metallica. And my favorite Metallica isn't "early Metallica", either. I flat out LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Load. I know that this won't earn me any "cool" points here on the org, but Load brought me into the fold. I really dig the blues-boogie vibe they went for on that disc.

I like most of the stuff that has been listed, but my favorite has to be Aerosmith( and I'm not talking about the late 80's early 90's MTV pop band)
