Eric Benet's 'Hurricane' album

What does everyone think of Eric Benet's new album 'Hurricane'?. Personally, I think it's very good, although his debut albums is, IMO, his best.

Best songs on 'Hurricane' are:

'Be Myself Again'
'I Know'
'The Last Time'
'Cracks of my broken heart'
'Still With You'

What does everyone else think of this album?.

trivia: the track "I Wanna Be Loved" was originally offered to Earth Wind and Fire several years ago.Eric and Philip Bailey sang it as a duet, but it didn't make the final tracklist of EW&F's 2003 album 'The Promise'.Eric included it on his album and it now his current single.

I love "I Wanna Be Loved." Eric Benet is great. I don't think that he has ever gotten the props he deserves as a singer-especially after Halle.Over the years, he has made several great ballads cool .

The album isn't half bad, I just think he had a hard time with the whole Halle mess and it didn't get the run or pub it should have gotten.

Highly under appreciated. Great album, full of emotion, would be a classic except it does not fit any format. Replace Eric on that album with Celine and it would have went diamond.

If you go on allmusic.com, and search for Benet you should find the song's name there.

I sure do...I own the CD as well as everything else Eric has released. The song is called "Only Want To Be With You". CD came out around 1992.

Eric always comes out with strong albums. I've heard nothing but good things about this one. I, too, think his debut is his strongest.

Hurricane is a great CD! I'm a Benet fan and thought it was kinda ugly that people were dissing the cd because of their perception of what was happening in his personal life. But that's neither here nor there. He's actually working to promote it and making LOTS of personal appearances (several of which I've seen already). A couple of my favorites on the new CD are "The Last Time" and "Cracks of My Broken Heart."
