OMG! I almost fell out this chair when I read that. RUFUSIZED is the DEFINITVE Rufus CD IMO....there is not one bad song on the CD. The entire CD is stellar from beginning to end!!!!!

Yeah, I just brought the CD yesterday and today is my second time hearing it. I haven't skipped one track yet. Rufusized has it all: Chaka's gritty and immaculate vocals and the funky, jazzy and soulful musicianship of the band. I mean, this is a masterpiece. Thanks you guys!

I love how Side B fades in
with "I'm A Woman (I'm A Backbone)"
on the vinyl biggrin

j'adore! j'adore! j'adore!
"be who you are and say what you feel
because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind."

so what do you guys think of 'Masterjam'? I have mixed feelings about that album.Considering that it was produced by Quincy Jones,I had high expectations, but it is somewhat disappointing. The first single "Do You Love What You Feel" is one of their finest uptempo jams, but there's nothing else on the album that comes close.

HATED this album at first
(with the exception of "Live In Me"
and "What Am I Missing?")

but I love the full thing now
my fav jam is "Any Love"
right now I'm diggin
"Masterjam"
(which BTW somebody uploaded
a full video for that on YOUTUBE)

it's a great album which was
overlooked by the likes
of Ask Rufus, Chaka & Rufusized

I listened to 'Masterjam' last week, and it's a better album than I remembered it to be."Any Love" and the title track are superb songs.

in my childhood (I'm an 80's baby)
my mother had Masterjam
and Chaka on vinyl...

the only songs I liked
from both LPs were
"The Message In The Middle Of The Bottom" (Chaka)
and "What Am I Missing" ("Live In Me" & of course "DYLWYF") (Masterjam)
"be who you are and say what you feel
because those who mind don't matter
