Anyone into country music?

My father loves country music, and growing up, i thought it was
the most boring thing i`ve ever heard... Now i`m listening to a song called
"Kentucky bluebird", and i have to say, I LIKE IT eyepop

I really love the dixie chicks.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

Generally no. I don't understand why it's so massive in the US.

some country is alright i must say. i got in2 it via the honies' shania twain & faith hill, but the guy i always liked was travis tritt with his songs "trouble" and "bible belt". then i saw him at the end of "blues brothers 2000" up there in his fringe jacket holdin his own in a all-star blues jam session. smile

There`s a song called "Sorry doesn`t always make it right", recorded by both Diana Ross and Gladys Knight, that i would define as a country song, and in both cases, it`s a great performance.
I guess it depends a lot on the artists, for example, i don`t think i would really get into Willie Nelson`s music, although he`s probably a great artist, it`s just not my taste.

I love the players. guitar

Not that fond of the singers because of the yodely whiney thing.
Vince Gill is pretty good in the modern era.

Supposedly Charlie Parker was a fan of country music.

Only classic country. With the exception of Loretta Lynn's 'Van Lear Rose' I don't really care for any country music recorded after 1980. Although people love Johnny Cash's stuff he did with Rick Rubin a few years ago.

Johnny Cash
Patsy Cline
Tammy Wynette
Dolly Parton
George Jones
Loretta Lynn
Hank Williams

That's the kind of country I like.
