Posthumous

i'm seeing saint etienne next month, so that's a good start.

i think i'm concerted out. with VERY FEW exceptions, once i've seen someone once or twice, i'm good to go.

prince and bowie are the main exceptions, and i know bowie's not touring this year, so that lowers my ticket buying budget for '06! biggrin

i'd love to see princess superstar this year - i haven't seen her play live in a long time, and i think her new album would be fun in concert.

(been a while, eh???)
smile

OH YES
I HAD THE IMMENSE AURAL PLEASURE
of seeing
STEELY DAN
live on their '03 Everything Must Go tour.

the music was BRILLIANT as you could imagine
& Donald's voice sounded.. better than I thought it would!

you may have heard
word has it
Donald has a
NEW ALBUM
coming out sometime within the next 2 months or so..

this OUGHT to mean SOME type of tour
or at least a few tour dates.

DEFINTELY
do what you can
to see THE DAN
even if
it means
you have to do a "road trip"!
I'll see you tonight..

Obviously i think this will be a big PRINCE "show" year. Back on the Musicology tour I went to 21 shows, bringing my PRINCE total to 69. So im guessing if its a big summer tour again, I will be Bringing My PRINCE total to the 80-90 range.

Other artists that I know for sure are playing will be

A-ha back in the States, most likely only big cities though, so if u dont live in NYC u probably wont see them.

Duran, i have a feeling they will tour again here

Rick Springfield, he is officially behind PRINCE in most times i have seen in concert at 15, the scary thing is that up till 2000 I had never seen him in concert, the guy has been on Tour pretty much nonstop for 6 years.

MYA her new Cd is due in Spring/Summer and she is doing a club tour again, I was glad the last time I saw her in a club, she stood next to me (WOW)

NORAH JONES I knew back before everyone cared. The first time I saw her was in a club in NYC, about 75 people, and she was opening for Joan Rivers. Since then i have seen her 11 times, glad to see her back in clubs.

Thats about it, Im sure i will see Billy Joel too, rumours that he is finally writing new material, hopefully something meaningful and depressing not some River of Dreams or We didnt start the fire crap!!

MADONNA! please let the rumours be true

Each day,we get more "hints" of a tour.Looks like an official announcement is coming really soon...

From Australian Undercover:
Rumors of Madonna's second ever Australian tour are gathering momentum following dates expected to be announced for the US this week.According to sources, the Madonna tour will end in Australia with mid-to-late September being the preferred dates.A US tour is not far off from being announced but a few leaked dates suggest the following venues and cities:

June 2,3 Dodgers's Stadium,Los Angeles,CA
June 9,10 Soldier's Field,Chicago,IL
June 16,17 Fenway Park,Boston,MA
June 22,23,25,27,29 Shea Stadium,NYC
July 3,4,7 Ford Field,Detroit

US ticket prices are expected to peak at $600 with the volume of tickets coming in between $150-250 eek eek eek eek

Her new single "Sorry" will be released next month

another "hint" from Billboard....

Arthur Fogel, president of TNA International,Live Nations's global touring division, has nailed down the promotion right for the as-yet-unannounced 2006 tour by Madonna in support of her album 'Confessions On A Dancefloor',according to sources.Fogel, who produced Madonna's "ReInvention tour" in 2004 and "Drowned World tour" in 2002,which grossed a combined $200 million, got the nod from Madonna's camp despite what sources say was a concentrated effort form rival promoter AEG Live to promote the tour.Fogel, who declined to comment, seems to be solidly in place in the Madonna touring business."Arthur Fogel knows how to make the impossible possible",she was quoted as saying in Billboard last summer."He's a touring genuis".
