I've always heard MJ used to be terribly jealous of Prince. He walked out on a showing of Purple Rain because he thought he was too sexist. I also remember about him joking to Quincy Jones saying sarcastically 'i guess i'd be popular too if i talked about masturbation'

but to the other posters. not everybody lives and breathes reading all the posts on here so sometimes things get redundant. i've never seen any post like this so it's cool with me

There IS a comparison. They're BOTH recording artists with different styles, believe it or not! They make/made a living off of what they like to do! Some of their fanatics who live in La-La Land are too blind to see that there is no real "rivalry" between the two, but the real rivalry sometimes is between those fans! Any bad blood there was between fans isn't half as strong as it used to be. I don't think anyone really cares any more, and I've seen more fans of both artists getting into the other one or admitting that they liked his music all along. Twas all rather silly.
