LOVE Klymaxx! I saw the Bands Reunited thing and was said that they coulcn't all get together.

What's the latest news on the 2 Klymaxx's and where can we read about it? I would love to see them live! I remember they performed twice on Joan Rivers' short-lived late night talk show in the 80's and they ruled.


And I totally forgot about Halle Berre's skit!!! I kinda remember she was Bernadette and just kept singing songs where seh basically rapped like Berndaette and the joke was that ll the songs were teh same or somethign liket hat. would love to see it again.

Btw, what exactly is a "Cooper's Limousine"? Is it just a play on the fact that her name is "Cooper"?

I had the "first" two albums on Vinyl (I say "First" in quotes because I recently read they had earlier record deals on smaller labels but I wasn't aware of them till the "Meeting in the Ladyls ROom" album and song).

Then I got the self-titled one with Man Sized Love and "Sexxy".

I had both of these on CD at one point, or I had the 1st one and "best of" which had they key songs.

I also found "Maxx is Back" in a bargain bin but could never get into it.

So two questions/comments;

1. What is the deal with "Cooper's Limousine?" (nobody replied above )

2. I remember hearing a rumour back in the day that Bernadette was "luvvas" with Corvette from Mary Jane Girls.

The band split up and one of the members formed a whole new group and used the name. This is very misleading. I could deal with one or two replacements but the whole damn band....oh hell to the naw! Also, Klymaxx without Bernadette Cooper would be like The Time without Morris Day. Who the hell would want to see that?

After watching the intense 'Bands Reunited' this is how the story goes...

After the group went they're separate ways, guitarist Cheryl Cooley decided to take her own version of the band on the road as KLYMAXX. This pissed off the other band members and Bernadette Cooper (who now owns her own vintage shop in Jersey) was livid. There were charges pressed and Cooley had to rename the group 'KLYMAXX featuring CHERYL COOLEY'. The wounds were not healed and when VH-1 tried to reunite the band, they would only do it if Cooley was left out. Cooley made two attempts to make amends but Cooper was not havin' it. The rest of the band did a kick ass show at the Roxy in LA and that's what happened.
