Quite posibly the greatest footage ever.
A nine year old boy and his brother doing that is just incredible. I would love to see some of their performances from around 1966-1968 during theor "Chitlin" run. [Edited 1/20/06 10:31am] PRINCE: Always and Forever

Another unbeliveable performance is Who´s loving you at the Ed Sulivan show. That´s just..."don´t have the words".... "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

I dont know how old u are...But people that were around back in the early days know that the jacksons were legends by 1972-3... they were the first black act to do several things..too many to list but one would be to have a weekly cartoon series..followed by their 1976 CBS tv series.....motown 25 did open peoples eyes to the mature NEW michael jackson, and it was the spark that drove the world MJ crazy in the thriller era...But he was VERY much a legend with off the wall as well...and the jacksons as i said before have been royalty to black people since almost DAY 1.

Any Jackson 5 performance back in the day helped make the J5 BIGGER...I'll give you that..but as for Michael..Motown 25 is what made him who he is. If Michael had not A) Done Motown 25 and B)Met John Branca, his life would not be the way it is today, and surely, he wouldn't be nearly as rich and important in the music world. Ironically enough, John Branca is the person who told Michael he should do the Motown 25 thing. Part of Michael's genius, is that back in the day he put great business people around him, (John Branca, Frank DiLeo, etc) but these days, he hangs with bahrain princes and in 2002, gay porno directors, so what do you expect?

I love you Jason, but I know how young you are, M25 was more of an apex if anything, especially as an artist.

It was his moment, Elvis had his, Frank had his, The Beatles had theirs, The Jackson 5 had their moment, and Michael had his own.
