Like... ok.. does anyone keep both the front booklet and the traycard in the binders?

depends on if there's information i need on the traycard. if there's a tracklist on the CD itself or in the booklet, i toss the traycard.

though, the more i use stuff like Nero and iTunes that can instantly call up CD tracklist info when i put it in my computer, the more i've been tossing the traycards regardless.

this is true. I had no idea.

I use to have mine logged into a spreadsheet including singles, imports and including the format. I was so bad at updating it I eventually chucked it but it's good for knowing what you've got in a jiffy.

I know people value things differently than I do, but I still find it shocking that so many people throw away booklets, tray cards, jewel cases, etc. neutral

I think the people that can do without liner notes make a better transition to the digital age, where that information is less physically tangible.

My best friend (a Taurus) is a record collector and loves to put covers displayed face-out. hmmm

Tauruses tend to be materialistic. It makes us feel good to have our prize possessions in view.

I'm a sag and I do that too! cool
Maybe we are all more alike then we realize!

Yeah, it's getting to the point where I don't always remember if I have something or not... i need to get some better organization system. they are alphabetized (mostly), but still a bit of a mess.

Yup. I usually keep both the booklet and the tray card in my books, but I really miss the days of the gatefold albums, with all the great artwork and liner notes to read...But with so many disposable "so-called" artists around these days, I probably wouldn't want to know too much, anyway....
