What's sad is that the music on Carmen Electra's album is great!! Too bad it came with her vocals over it!!

She's a really good dancer. I saw her perform "Come on get up" and "Go go dancer" live in '93.

I think Carmen's album wasn't promoted enough but she was a good rapper. TC Ellis also had a good album True Confessions. That went nowhere also. Really none of these albums by proteges went anywhere. Remember Ingrid Chavez or Bobby Z's albums?

The really sad thing is,Paisley Park and Warner Bros. spent over 2 million (!!) promoting Carmen's album,while the Rosie Gaines album sat in the vaults,where it still is.When Prince signed that $100 Million contract,I assumed that he was gonna "get his house in order" and make Paisley Park Records a successful,kickass record label.Alas,he didn't learn his lessons from the past.Carmen became just another sexy but talentless "protege" with a flop album on Prince's label.

To her credit,though,she has managed to use her beauty and charming personality to make a career for herself after all.The other "acts" (Ingrid Chavez,Taja Sevelle,Apollonia,etc) are pretty much all but forgotten.
