Valentine's Day concerts: Which one should I go to?

Since I will be alone on Valentine's Day this year (again), I think I'll go to a show. The following artists are all playing here in NYC on Feb 14th:

Cat Power (Town Hall)
Diamanda Galas (Knitting Factory)
Wu-Tang Clan (Hammerstein Ballroom)

I have at least one album by all three, but have never seen any of them live. Which show should I attend? hmmm

lol

I honestly meant to add to the original post "I know which one Anxiety will choose".

That might be a good anti-Valentine's Day show as well.

stinkin' org burps.

anyway - i'm predictable about diamanda for a reason. go. she'll make you feel every emotion in the book, including a few you didn't know you had. her studio recordings don't go her live shows justice.

Well, how can I deny a recommendation like that? I almost saw Diamanda live once before at Joe's Pub a few years ago, but my friend who had the tix stood me up. Having dated said friend briefly and knowing how she was, that wasn't totally unexpected.

The ad in the Village Voice says: RZA, Raekwon, Method Man, Masta Killa, Inspeckta Deck, U God, GZA, Ghostface with Cappadonna, Street Life & Mathematics. It's the O.D.B. Tribute Tour.

I bought my Diamanda Galas ticket yesterday so the decision has been made.

I was strongly considering Cat Power for awhile though.

On the Wu side of things, it's all about Ghostface nowadays.

Despite seeing hundreds of concerts, I honestly have never been to a rap show. boxed

Other Valentine's Day concerts in the Big Apple (not in the running):

Oleta Adams (B.B Kings)
Rachelle Ferrell (Blue Note)
Tom Jones (Nokia Theater)
Phil Lesh (Beacon Theater)
The O'Jays (Apollo Theater)
The Veronicas (Avalon) - It was tough turning down that one actually.

oops just saw where you made your choice. I personally would've picked Cat Power. I still haven't really given Diamanda a chance yet so that's why.

The Cat Power show is sold out now. I haven't gotten Chan Marshall's new album yet, but I really liked 'You Are Free'. 'Moon Pix' is great also.

I wish there was a Millie Jackson concert in my area on Valentine's Day because she talks the kind of shit that I can relate to about Valentine's Day (or any other holiday). She keeps the whores company on a holiday so they can make it until a few days later when they get their holiday.....

The bad side about being in luv with a married man is that you can't see him when you want to. The holidays are the worst because he has to stay home and play the part of the good and faithful huzzband. But J1 when that man comes in, I start laying it on him and telling him all those sweet things I know his wife didn't tell him over the holidays. And you can think of a lot of good things to tell a nigga when you're by yourself.

Sorry for the outburst but the answer is no. Not to me.
I thought it'd be like NYC with great weather. Totally different animal.

Seriously though, I would think all national tours go through Los Angeles like they do NYC so you must mean the more intimate one-off shows are lacking.

I just read the entire Cat Power tour has been canceled for health reasons. I hope it's not serious.
