The Death Of Music Retail I need your help. (and this may only apply to the older Prince / Music fans here). I'm starting a list of old and current music retail stores. If you see any missing please add to the list. This is for a special project I'm working on. Do this now before we forget!

Are you looking for stores only in a certain area? I'm looking for stores across the U.S. and well know international stores. Thanks for the input.

Hot Hits, Record Time and Melodies and Memories in Roseville, Michigan (near Detroit) and Neptune's in Royal Oak, Michigan are some of my favourites. Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife. --Kahlil Gibran

I used to work for the coprorate headquarters of Music Plus. It was started by a few founders of The Wherehouse who broke away from that company. Music Plus was sold to Blockbuster in the late 80's/early 90's and became the seed stores for Blockbuster Music (that's when I left). The Wherehouse was later bought by Blockbuster Music, and the circle was complete.
I looks like most of the big chains have been mentioned, but don't forget The Wiz. [Edited 1/21/06 9:59am] a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on

In Ann Arbor, Encore Records, PJ's New and Used Music.....I think that's it as far as ones that are still open. Borders, too. There was one in Yspilanti that closed.
Tom Tunes in St. Clair Shores (by Roseville...not sure if it's still open). FYE Media Play (RIP) [Edited 1/21/06 20:44pm]
