Okay to the people that are old enough to remember the Milli Vanilli track, "Girl You Know Its True" VERY well, I have a question for you.

Is it just me or is the beat of this song used in TONS of commercials as background music? I can't put my finger on certain advertisements, but I know I've heard it like 2 or 3 different places. (I want to say I've also heard it in other people's songs as a side note..)

So does anyone have the 411 on this situation?

It's used in about half of the Milli Vanilli tracks and some other songs from around that time like PM Dawn's "Set Adrift on Memory Bliss".

Good ears!! Yes, it's a famous drum break that was first used in the Eric B & Rakim song "Paid In Full".

I think alot of people sampled straight off Rakim's song (like PM Dawn), but the original source for the loop is...
