What the fucking hell was THAT? Prince goes up, plays 2 notes on an out of tune guitar, rips his shirt off, hisses into the mike, then makes a lamp post fall into the crowd. What a bizzare little man.

It happens to me, too and I'm on DSL. I just put it on mute and play it when it loads. This was posted on another music forum, as well.

(he looked SO MUCH BETTER with his darker, NORMAL complexion)
but again, when PRINCE came up.. his ATTITUDE..

I wonder what made.. Mike have James call Prince up to the stage like that! as much as Mike was “the man” in ’83.. if I were him I wouldn’t have called Prince up to the stage! I don’t know if Mike just wanted to see Prince do his thing, or if Mike thought it might be a little “friendly competition” or what.. but then again.. as “on” as Mike was then, he should have had the confidence to have James call anybody up to the stage.


I’ve read how some people have had problems with the videos stopping & starting every few seconds. I just downloaded the “most recent” version of Macromedia Flash Player.. & the videos I see STILL stutter (& yes, by the way, I have the Verizon DSL connection)..

Well, for those of you who have the PATIENCE to do this, here’s an idea
(if you haven’t thought of it/done it already) :

as SOON as you can see an image of the video you’re watching, click on the PAUSE at the bottom left of the screen. after you’ve watched enough of these videos (LIKE I HAVE) you can see that there are TWO gray bars that move to the right as the video plays. the lighter gray bar I call the “download” bar & the darker bar I call the “video play” bar.

when you click on that bottom left PAUSE, the darker “video play” bar stays in place & the video does not proceed. however, the lighter gray “download” bar continues. if you let the light gray “download” bar pass the SHARE button in the bottom center of the video screen, THEN you click on the PAUSE button again – which is now shown as PLAY – then you can watch your video without it constantly stopping & starting.

now, because the lighter gray line goes from left to right SO SLOWLY, you can/should open ANOTHER internet window & you can surf other sites or send/read email while you’re waiting for the lighter gray line to get to the mid-point of the (lower) video screen.

also (in case you hadn’t noticed) you can put your mouse on the darker bar & “rewind” or “fast-forward” the video you’re watching to certain parts you want to watch again (& again & again)..


so.. YEAH..
sometimes the video quality is not great.. & I am waiting to see MORE videos from THE TIME – either the actual (performance) videos for THE WALK, or their performance YEARS ago.. on some PBS program where they did 777-9311 & THE WALK..
but I can tell.. “youtube” is definitely the LAST thing I need to be doing.. but I will probably be there A LOT
