How did Mary J's album open with such huge numbers? I hardly saw any promo for it, haven't heard the single yet, and it isn't like she's an inescapable pop personality a'la Beyonce or Mariah. I only ask this because her last album opened with 200,000 some copies, and that was in an easier sales climate. I'm the first mammal to wear pants. | |

and the biggest news (at least to me) is that Mariah's album is #6! I mean, got damn!!!!! her shit is still in the top 10!!
Am I the only one who thinks that's amazing? If u guys recall....it was this time last year when we first started hearing spins of her song, It's Like That Little did we know that her album was gonna blow up the way it did.... | |

She is still in Clear Channel's top ten. BTW, I think I like her new single (which means Madonna won't allow me to be a fan, so I'll stop, I promise). I'm not taking about "Don't Forget About Us" (which I didn't like the first time when it was called "We Belong Together") but the new one with Twista. It's not bad. It actually has a beat and for once her over whispery singing (which she tends to do on some songs) is affective...I don't even understand half the words she is trying to say while breathing so heavily (I could have sworn she says something like "Banjo to speakers" at one point). | |
