I think should start a Tom Waits thread...

smile

Last night I was watching an awesome movie entitled "La Cité Des Enfants Perdus" - directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. It's amazing, y'all should check it!!! smile
So I was watching the movie and it really made me want to listen to my 80s Tom Waits albums right after that! cool

For me the movie represented a similar atmosphere like Waits' 80 albums - "Swordfishtrombones", "Rain Dogs" and "Frank's Wild Years"!
(Now I'm playing the first of his trilogy...)

Okay, that's all! smile I just wanted to share this feeling... lol

Any Tom Waits admirers out there???

Have a great day/night!!! cool

Ron Perlman is dope. He's like Will Ferrell's bad ass older brother.

Wonder if he and Rita Perlman are related. What if they were married? They couldn't mate. She's a damn near dwarf and he's Hellboy. Plus them be some ugly ass kids.

I'm not too keen on him, but my dad is his #1 fan. All he does on weekends is get loaded and listen to Tom Waits.

And he is convinced that Tom Waits is the best artist to hit planet earth and gets pissed when we tell him otherwise.

I remember when his last (?) album came out, cant remember what it was called but it had a red sleeve. I was working in a record store at the time, I didnt know anything about him and I wasnt very impressed but this guy I worked with said his new stuff is totally different from his old stuff, and he played it and it was! I really liked the older albums we played, and Id forgotten all about him until now. Ill have to go out and get me some of them nod

Well, he's a great songwriter/producer/musican and his voice is a trademark! cool
Everybody has a different "best" or "greatest" artist! It's a subjective thing! smile
