But recently, I've found that some of these neo-soul, or new soul, artists seem to shoot themselves in the foot. Dwele, for example, singlehandedly ruined his new album with silly, indulgent, hip-hop-esque skits. These musicians shouldn't pick up the bad habits of hip-hop artists.
