is there any good music out there left?

of course there is, I just don't know where to look, and after burning a massive hole in my wallet down the years in amassing my 600+ albums I've slowed down to a near stand still. I spent beyond my means but it was a great journey and one that I don't regret. I treasure nearly every single piece of music I've bought. Now I'm starting to miss the joys of discovering new music. I'm still in my early 20s but I can't stand the chart music. ANything I hear on college and commercial radio pretty much sucks. I like music from all decades except this one. Maybe I'm too old or I've hit the wall, but the best I can hope for it seems is re-discovering music I haven't listened to in a while. Maybe I'll just have to start downloading obscure 70s and 80s albums because I can't really afford to take a chance on the unknown anymore.

I don't think music in this era sucks, it's just as some people get older the music of the current generation is not appealing to them (this is not the case for everyone, I'm also in my early 20's and find it hard to relate to alot of modern music), it doesn't mean the music is any better or worse. no such thing as bad music! just personal taste.

I think you will find alot of the type of music you use to listen to from 70' and 80's is still around, but they are probably recording with an independent label.

It's always good to learn about past pop music so that maybe you can hear and perhaps appreciate today's music differently.

Remember "X Offender" by Blondie?

Rhondab

"I'm in love with a stripper"

this has to be the worse contribution to "music" this generation has every offered!!

BUT I would agree there's some good....but its not on the radio. I think the underground scene..whether it be in rock, hip hop, alternative and R&B has the best music.....just doesn't get radio play nowadays

and we forget about "World music" ....some good stuff there.
