Damnnearforgotaboutit Dustie of the Day (1/12/06): Herbie Hancock, "Ready or Not" i knew about this song for yeeeeears, because i'd always hear it being played on KUCB (r.i.p.) when i was younger...but i never knew who it was by because half of the time the dj wouldn't name the damned thing (that, or i'd tune in while the song was almost done). anyways, i recently found a copy of herbie's feets don't fail me now album at my favorite vinyl haunt and i played it when i got home...this joint came on and all the sudden memories started flooding back--"ohhhhh, so THAT'S what it is!" but anyways, testify on this cut if you remember it.

Hm, still don't know what to think of Hancocks 80s work. Due to this thread, I listen to this song right now. It ain't too bad, though I therefore state that I do prefer Thrust, Manchild or even Head Hunters. Generally i'm not THAT much into his music. Sometimes I like it, but those days are rather rare.
