I'm Sorry if this thread seems a litle dated now, but im not really a big fan of mariah's , but now im loving "don't forget about us' and "shake it off" and im wondering if the album is any good

I have the cd, and yes it's good. Get it!

Personally, I wouldn't waste my money but if you really think you want the cd why don't you buy it used. I was in my local used record store yesterday and bought the lastest U2 for $7.99. They had 3-4 copies of Mimi for the same price.

I bought it for my daughter for Christmas; I listen to it more than she does. It's good.

I bought it and spun it maybe 6 times and haven't touched it since. Just buy another copy of Madonna's new record instead. Or Extraordinary Machine. Or Kanye. Just not Mariah.

I bought it half a year ago and still love it!
I'm not a fan of her at all, but I must admit that "Mimi" is a great album!!!
And why should I hate her as lots of people do??? Only because of she's Mariah Carey???

Get the normal version not that ultra super duper oober platinum bullshit...

I bought the record the week it first came out because I wasn't hearing the singles ("Th-th-th-that Y'all" "We Belong Together") very much, but now I don't spin it because it's in heavy rotation everywhere I turn.

If you want to hear "Shake It Off" more often, go head with ya bad self, but you should be asking about the album tracks.

I think these could be singles:

"Spend The Night" (prod: Kanye)
"Say Somethin" (prod: Neptunes)

I actually prefer "Charmbracelet" to "Mimi". I didn't care for the Nelly track at all! I dislike "It's Like That" and thanks to the radio play, I grew rather tired of "We Belong Together". If I were you, I'd get "Say Something" and and "Your Girl" from iTunes (the album's two best tracks) - but that's just me!

It's the non-hits that I love the most....if you like soulful, sultry Mariah...then this is the record to get..'Mine Again', 'Stay The Night', 'Fly Like A Bird', and 'Your Girl' are some of my faves...oh and 'Circle's'....very old school Denise Williams-meets-Minnie Riperton...

If you like the 90's Mariah/Celine theatrics...then you wont like MIMI...this album is free of that....Mimi got her own theatrics...
