Mark Spoon R.I.P. (my condolences to Trance fans) I read this and thought some people would like to know. Don't have an exact link but if someone gets one link it. no links yet
swipe: here's where I read it: http://www.velvetrope.com...=2&fpart=1 Mark Spoon (real name Markus Löffel), 41, known as one half of 'Jam & Spoon' who produced the unforgettable "Stella" and "Right In The Night" tracks in the early nineties, has been found dead in his Berlin home. Major record company, Universal Music, was unable to provide further details about the circumstances of his death. However it was reported that Mark succumbed to a cardiac infarct (a type of heart attack) on January 10, sending a shockwave to fans around the world. Jam & Spoon came to attention as pioneers of the early trance sound with the release "Stella", and in the mid-nineties found further fame with their remixes of Age Of Love's "The Age Of Love" (featured on Sasha and John Digweed's "Renaissance - The Mix Collection") and the Moby classic "Go". metafilterdotcom said: Mark Spoon, best known as half of German trance duo Jam & Spoon, was found dead today, apparently of a heart attack at age 41. Jam and Spoon aren't well known in the mainstream, but they almost single handedly invented the dance music genre today known as "Progressive Trance" with their early 90s singles "Stella" and "Age of Love" (Short MP3 samples). | |
