Shake your love vs Shake it of!!

So i'm talking about Debbie Gibson's jam from the out of the blue cd vs Mimi's jam from the emancipation of....

These 2 songs have the same sentiment and they are both from Long Island! biggrin Which one do you prefer and why? Yes, i'm aware that they sound nothing alike but it's just for shits n' giggles.

I love both but I have to go with Debbie! She is so underated. This chick was writing, singing producing and playing piano in her teens.

i believe she was, and i think "follish beat" credits her as sole producer aswell?

Anyway, debbies cool, i like the album "body mind and soul" best.

I just doubt the record label's generosity in authorizing that much creative control over a teen pop record.

nod With that song, she was credited as the youngest person to write, perform and produce a number one song. The music press made a big deal of it at the time, and (as a teenager myself), I was all, "Oh, my gosh! She's the coolestest!"

There was a producer on that album aswell. And he did most of it, but i beleive she wrote it all though, and that geek image really seemed like her too lol

I feel you on that because when I was a kid and she came out and I was an apsiring dancer/choreographer at the time I was truly inspired by her. Here was this kid that was only a few years older than making doing her own thing. I still think she rocks!

Of course you would prefer her body mind and soul cd as it came out in the 90's! Anyway, you still haven't said which song you prefer. Stick to the debate damn it!

"Shake Your Love" SUUUUUCKS!!!! Although I really don't care for Mariah's "Shake It Off" Either. I would rather listen 100 times then listen to "Shake Your Love" once.
