would you reward a mediocre album/single by a recently deceased/dying or legendary artist a grammy over a much better album/single by another artist? i ask because i'm listening to luthe vandross's dance with my father cd and this cd is sooooo ordinary and by the numbers. not even in his top 7 or 8 cd's. the same with ray charles' genius loves company--it was okay--but not great.

They usually do it for the fact that they missed awarding the hot albums in the first place.

i've grown to despise award shows, besides some performances that take place at the event. Even those are beginning to suck.
