But that is how you feel. You can't say how Donnie feels. Why can't any of you guys see that.

Because me and Mistress are speaking from a gay persons point of view. We know how it is.

-----
Maybe that is the problem. You can't let Donnie be a indivual. I am sure all gay people don't think a like. Just like all African-Americans don't think the same.

Not a single person here doesn't get that it's how he feels. Just because it's his own personal feelings doesn't make it any less damaging. Why can't you see that? It is your feeling, too?

-----
If Donnie's personal feelings are damaging to you or any of other gay person on the earth you need to get a life. If your happy doing what you are doing or being what you are so be it. What bearing does it have on your life how this guy feels.

Who are you to believe that everything he is saying his a lie?

Re-read my post. It was made up of questions, not statements about how someone feels. What would your answers be to the questions I posed?

-----
Does being assaulted by a member of the opposite sex make you gay, or does being assaulted by a member of the same sex do it?
-----
Maybe it depends on the indivual person. Maybe some people are born gay and being moselsted or raped has no bearing on anything.

Perhaps some people are born straight and are manipulated into a gay lifestyle.

I think Donnie is saying he was manipulated into a gay lifestyle because of the rape.

I can't understand why you guys can't see that this is possible. Just like Donnie should understand that he can't speak for everyone.

What the fuck is that supposed to mean? lol You're a real winner. Yes, it's true laurarichardson - people's words can hurt others. I'm not saying your words would hurt, because there's not much difference between your thoughts on this matter and toilet paper. Personally, I'm not deeply affected by his words, but that doesn't mean others cannot be hurt by them. And hey, if his words drive him or somebody else deeper into the closet...

No. You're wrong. Being sexually assaulted isn't going to "manipulate" you into a "gay lifestyle" (as you call it). It might confuse you, but the act itself isn't going to manipulate. Choose your words more wisely, please.

Maybe we don't think alike, but I know the perspective he's coming from. The "i'm actually gay but I don't want anybody to know so i'll say anything to cover my ass" point of view. When's the last time a straight person thought like that? Hell, when's the first?

nod

I would like to add to that:

Donnie Mcclurkin "I'm actually gay but I don't want anybody to know so I'll say anything to cover my ass AND PREACH IT AS GOSPEL"

If Mr. McClurkin is going around preaching this nonsense as gospel then it is damaging to me as a member of the Les/Bi/Gay community.

Don't DM's comments and life experiences make him part of the GLBT community, too?

I don't think so,TB. He's going out of his way to separate himself from us.

I think he's still part of it, as much a part of the community as gay conservatives who disavow the lifestyle when it's politically expedient.
