Lena Horne Fans,,,,Jan Is One Busy Month! Jan 24th
On January 24th, the still-lovely Lena Horne will release her 9,634th full-length recording "Seasons Of A Life" on Blue Note records. At 88 years young, Miss Lena is still doing her thing. I got an advance copy and the CD has some nice moments, including "Black Is", a beautiful, affirming ballad from a lady who knows black is beautiful. Also, Lena reinterprets her signature song "Stormy Weather" and gives it all the drama it deserves. Jan 10th,,,remastered on DVD

Finally, a Lena Horne thread
I just got a compilation called "More of the best", which includes her version of "I got a name", and it`s beautiful. Maybe her 70s albums will be re-released I`m looking forward to her new cd, and "Stormy weather" "Cabin in the sky" is also coming to DVD tomorrow.
