I just saw the news out here in NY. Very sad news. He was a great singer with great songs and he will be missed. My prayers are with Lou's family. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I grew up listening to him ~ a voice from Heaven ~ now he will sing with the Angels. A sad loss for us. Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife. --Kahlil Gibran

Amen! "Groovy People" was one of my favorite songs of Lou's. Cool lyrics... RIP, Mr. Rawls Many a student who attended/attends an HBCU (Historically Black College and University) has Lou to thank for his United Negro College Fund (UNCF) telethon efforts.
